Anuradhapura is the first Sri Lankan Kingdom of the Sri Lankan dynasty where King Pandukabhaya was- the first king in Anuradhapura (474-367BC). Anuradhapura holds the herald for ancient ruins which depicts the Sri Lankan antient technology, architecture, and the Buddhist culture. Anuradhapura is the main city of the North Central province in Sri Lanka which is 203Kms is another world heritage city in Sri Lanka as declared by UNESCO.
World famous Stupas called “Dagab”s such as Ruwanweliseya, Jethawanaramaya etc. and the Jaya Sri Maha Bodhi is a sacred Bo tree that stands in the Mahamewna Gardens in Anuradhapura, Sri Lanka. Not only is it the closest authentic living link to Gautama Buddha, it is also the oldest human-planted tree in the world with a known planting date and a recorded history.

Parakrama Samudra (or King Parakrama’s sea or the Sea of King Parakrama) is a shallow reservoir (wewa), consisting of five separate wewa (reservoirs) (thopa, dumbutulu, erabadu, bhu, kalahagala tanks) connected by narrow channels in Polonnaruwa, is considered one of the most valued creations in Sri Lankan history which was built by the great King Parakramabahu. This adds a unique panoramic view to the city.
